Hello, it's nice to "meet" you, I'm April a born and bred English girl with a huge passion to capture real life stories. I've always been a creative soul and art and design has been a big part of my life. After leaving school I studied fashion design and sculpture and went on to work in the fashion industry. After taking a career break in 2019, I have had the huge privilege of traveling to some special places with my camera, connecting with people from all over the world. 

 

Photography is a hugely powerful tool and we take pictures for many different reasons. For me people are my inspiration, the buzz I get from capturing genuine moments of love and connection is what I live for. Everyone of us has our own story to tell and I am passionate about capturing these visual stories to educate, connect and inspire. 

 

Life is happening for us right now and we have the ability to pause time through the simple click of a button, this is what compels me to keep picking up my camera. With the fast pace of modern life it's sometimes hard to live in the present, photography can help us to savour life’s little moments, capturing the candid, joyful everyday that otherwise might pass us by. 

 

My approach to photography is modern with a hint of nostalgia, I love to celebrate the old and new.  I’m less interested in achieving "perfection" in a photo and more concerned with capturing raw authentic emotion, shooting in an honest and natural way. My focus is to capture real moments created by you, I want to give you timeless photographs that bring joy every time you look at them and capture something which can be enjoyed and passed down in your family for generations.

I understand feeling comfortable in front of the camera may not come naturally, I myself am much happier hiding behind the lens. But I will be there along the way to help guide you and make sure you are relaxed, you just have to worry about being yourself.
